WHAT IS A DOULA?
A doula is a support person who gives continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to a birthing person during pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and beyond. They bridge the gap between the medical staff and the birthing person, in terms of constant, unbiased support for the family. With a doula present, your medical staff can focus solely on your medical needs while your doula takes care of everything else for you. A doula can serve in any type of pregnancy situation, including high risk pregnancies, and they serve in hospitals, birth centers, home births, and free births. We work for the birthing person and are hired by the birthing person.

Hi! I'm Kristin Manfredonia. I'm so glad you are here!
I am a Placenta Specialist and a Full Spectrum Doula specializing in birth, postpartum, and bereavement (miscarriage, stillbirth, and baby loss), I have been serving the south Florida area since 2019. I am currently on the board as a Peer Support Coordinator and Lactation Specialist for The Doulas Care Collective.
I am passionate about birthing bodies, lactation, placenta encapsulation, lending unconditional support in pregnancy, through labor, and in parenthood, teaching safe babywearing, promoting inclusivity in the birth world, and empowering others through education surrounding the prenatal and postnatal period. I enjoy connecting with other likeminded birth workers. I am dedicated to supporting the birthing person’s choices and teaching proper informed consent.
I am a proud ally of the LGBTQI+ community and I stand firm in being a safe space for the queer, trans, and BIPOC birthing families in our community.
I am a mother of four children, but I am raising three of them earthside. In terms of my own personal birth experiences, I have walked the paths of a hospital birth, a birthing center birth, home births, and birthing a child through miscarriage.
My doula style is much like my parenting style - gentle, conscious, intentional, supportive, and kind. I am skilled in supporting my clients mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually as I bridge the gap of support between my clients and their medical care providers.
Beyond birth, I work with clients through their parenting journey to connect them to a more mindful, intentional, and gentle approach to parenting. I give them the resources they need in order to form a pleasant and fulfilling parent-child dynamic.

What Do I Offer?
All pregnancies and financial situations are different, and that’s why I work with each client to develop a customized plan for pregnancy, birth and beyond. If I sound like a good fit, look at the services I offer below, and get in touch with me to schedule an initial consultation.
PAYMENT PLANS ACCEPTED AND ENCOURAGED!
I know that the cost upfront can be overwhelming for most families. Please keep in mind that I am dedicated to working with you and I offer payment plans in order to make my services more affordable for the general population. I can also individually build and adjust packages, as well.
Also, please keep in mind that I do offer “Distance Doula” services as needed through the COVID-19 pandemic.
PREGNANCY AND LABOR PACKAGE
In this package, you will receive up to 4 prenatal visits with me, 2 birth plan meetings (outlined in the Birth Plan Building Package), I will be on call for you from 37 weeks until you go into labor, I will be with you during your labor to support you physically and emotionally, and I will be with you for four hours postpartum to ensure that you and your baby are settled in nicely with each other. Once you and baby are settled in at home, I will come over to check on you and see how you and your sweet new addition are doing. Through all of that, we will be discussing labor positions, birthing choices, and ways that you can cope with contractions, as well as your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual journey into this new part of your life.
